BIOGRAPHY

​

Rafael is a writer, director an producer of TV and film with more than ten year experience on the field. He begins his career in his home town, Guadalajara developing celluloid and creating video art and visual design in raves for the collective NoiseLab. He then moves to Mexico City where he works as a freelance producing, directing and editing TV spots, video clips and national and international television programs for companies including Univision, Telefutura, Mtv, Televisa and Chanel 22. Where he writes and directs the TV docu-series 3er, 4to and 5to "Rally Malayerba 24 hours of shortfilms" beating historical ratings.

 

Rafael ventures into cinema writing and directing a series of shortfilms like el otro, el parto and La Noche es Clara, shortfilms that were awarded in several national and international festivals (see awards) Rafael also works as director with mexican producing companies like Imperial Films, resistance Films, the Mall, Laguna Films, irreversible Cinema and Traziende films. Where he directs a video home, co-directs the movie surfeando tus sueños and creates and develops for television the TV series DOGMA for Televisa Networks - Blim.

 

Rafael is currently creating and developing new projects for television and feature films. Rafael has great technical and historical knowledge of TV and cinema, He is tireless and passionate about his work.
